Xense Robotics Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.

Xense Robotics Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., founded in May 2024 by Daolin Ma—an Associate Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the sole recipient of the Best Paper Award at ICRA 2021—is a high-tech enterprise focused on the era of Physical Intelligence, focusing on the perception and autonomous interaction between intelligent robots and the real physical world. Xense Robotics has established a comprehensive technology stack encompassing hardware, data, models, and real-world deployment. The company has independently developed multimodal tactile sensors, the XTac tactile data acquisition system, and the VTLA multimodal foundation model. Notably, the VTLA model fuses vision, tactile sensing, language, and action information to enhance robots’ capabilities in perception, understanding, and manipulation during real-world interactions, further solidifying the company's technical moat in the field of tactile intelligence. Leveraging its closed-loop capabilities across "hardware, data, models, and scenarios", Xense Robotics drives the end-to-end implementation of tactile perception—from low-level hardware and real-world interaction data to embodied AI model training and application deployment. To date, Xense Robotics has served over 300 industry-leading companies and top-tier research institutions, forging partnerships with enterprises such as Li Auto, CATL, and L'Oréal. It has also secured strategic investments from GL Ventures, Oriza Seed, Li Auto, and others. Looking ahead, Xense Robotics will continue to build the "tactile foundation" for the embodied AI era, propelling robots from merely "seeing the world" to truly "understanding and interacting with the world."
