Guangdong Innovation Center for Embodied Intelligent Robotics

Guangdong Innovation Center for Embodied Intelligent Robotics The Guangdong Innovation Center for Embodied Intelligent Robotics was jointly established in December 2023 by The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen) and the Shenzhen Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics for Society (AIRS), together with multiple members of the innovation consortium including Nanshan Venture Capital, LimX Dynamics, Leju Robotics, CloudMinds AI (YunTIanLiFei), Fortior Technology, Orbbec, Zhaowei Machinery & Electronics, Dahuan Robot, and XINJINGCHENG. In February 2024, the Center was officially inaugurated upon approval from the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. Leveraging the locational advantages of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Innovation Center has established cooperative partnerships with numerous central and local state-owned enterprises, including China Merchants Group, Guangdong Power Grid Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Metro Group Co., Ltd. It conducts R&D and key technological breakthroughs in embodied intelligent robotics for application scenarios such as power, healthcare, and rail transit. The Innovation Center aims to pool Guangdong's academic, research, and industrial resources in the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics, build an industry service platform, and drive the formation of an autonomous and controllable industrial cluster for embodied intelligent robotics.
